The lively song ‘Soak Up the Sun’ was the first single from
rock/contemporary star, Sheryl Crow's 2002 album C'mon, C'mon. This song
features back up vocals by Liz Phair and it peaked at #1 on the Billboard Adult
Contemporary chart. Soak Up the Sun became one of Sheryl’s biggest hits since ‘All
I Wanna Do’.
Not only can she sing
and play, she can surf.
This video shows Sheryl performing the song on the beach and
many cuts of female surfers riding the waves as well as sunning themselves. It
was directed by Wayne Isham and the video also includes shots of Sheryl surfing
and jumping off a waterfall.
Why is it boiling
hot?
Let’s face it, with the beautiful surroundings of the beach,
crashing surf and bikini clad surfer babes soaking up the sun, what could raise
the temperature more? Well, the one thing that could make it even steamier is
happening here also. Sheryl in the surf and on the beach.
