A pop music tune who suggested that monogamy was the way to go was banned from airing on many radio stations.

The single "I Want Your Sex" from George Michael was released on the 1st of June 1987. The song featured on the Beverly Hills Cop II soundtrack and his Faith album.

It peaked on #2 in the US and #3 in the UK.

Basque and suspenders
The video shows Kathy Jeung walking in basque and suspenders. The "implied nudity" was cited as the reason for MTV only showing the video late at night.

The lyrics of the song was also contested, many radio stations preferred to play a toned down song that replaced the word "sex" with "love."
