"Love Don't Cost a Thing" is off of Jennifer Lopez's second album, J. Lo released in 2001. The song reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and was her first number one in the UK.

Jennifer did the first live performance of the song at the MTV Europe Music Awards in November 2000 in Stockholm.

The video received two MTV Video Music Awards nominations in 2001: "Best Female Video" and "Best Dance Video".

There is a surprise at the end.
The video starts with Lopez talking with, what one assumes, is her boyfriend on her cell phone. You will hear him saying that he is not going to be able to make it. She is asked if she received the bracelet that he bought for her and she replies that she wants him to be there with her instead, and the last thing she needs is another bracelet.

This video is full of expensive things and sends the message that money isn’t everything (funny…..I’m sure she doesn’t mind having it).

As well there are Baywatch style slow-mo images of Jennifer walking and running to the beach.
 

Why is it boiling hot?
Throughout the video you will see scenes of Lopez in her golden sparkling underwear rolling around on the sand and frolicking in the water. There are several shots that just barely miss being R-rated. If her shirt were an inch lower or a drop wetter, it would be.

There is also a surprise at the end that might keep some replaying the ending to see if there is more there than you can catch in a glimpse. You see, she takes off her top.
