The song ‘Is This Love’ is a power ballad by Whitesnake. It was off their self-titled album and released in 1987.  The song was written by lead singer David Coverdale and guitarist John Sykes. It was rumored that the song had been originally intended for Tina Turner.

The song became a huge hit in 1987, and defined Whitesnake as one of the premiere rock groups of the 1980s. The song reached number 2 in the US singles chart.

In the music video, you will see featured, David Coverdale's future wife Tawny Kitaen. She had appeared in the band's earlier video for ‘Here I Go Again’.
