The song ‘Cradle of Love’ is a rock song written by Billy Idol and David Werner for Idol's 1990 fourth studio album ‘Charmed Life’. It is the sixth track, and was released as the  first single off the album. 

It peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, but do as well in the  UK. The song was also featured on the soundtrack of The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. It was nominated for Rock Vocal Performance, Male at the 32nd Grammy Awards.

A surprise seduction by a young woman.
The music video features footage of Idol singing in large frames throughout an apartment. The director made the decision to film Idol from the waist up as he was unable to walk due to a motorcycle accident that had happened.

You will see model Betsy Lynn George who at the time was a teenager and she tries to seduce a modest and mild mannered businessman.

Why is it boiling hot?
The concept of a young woman showing up at the door and stripping down to next to nothing to try and seduce a shy guy is quite the fantasy.

This young model is quite the looker and I’m not sure if this type of situation has really ever happened to anyone…but who knows… maybe a story like this has been told in a ‘letter to the editor’ of a men’s magazine.
