Last February I visited Vienna, it was bitterly cold, but I had a few nice experiences while I was there. Notably the museums:

Plenty of museums and houses are dedicated to the lives of the artists and composers who lived in Vienna, but a cheaper and more thoughtful way of paying homage to these great lives is to visit the cemetery of Zentralfriedhof. Here you can see the graves of Beethoven, both Strausses, and Schubert, amongst other Austrian writers, thinkers and artists.
